Grazing Fees on Public Lands Remain Unchanged

For 2012 livestock operators in 16 states won’t see a raise in grazing fees on public lands administered by the Forest Service and the BLM.  The fees will remain at$1.35 per AUM (animal unit month on BLM lands) and $1.35 HM (head month of lands managed by Forest Service).  In 1986 the was a presidential Executive Order making $1.35 the lowest these grazing fees could be.
